General information

AMBIWERRA IS AN 18+ EVENT
Currency of the day is Ambi Dollars. AU $1.00 = AMBI $1.00 Ambi Dollars can be purchased at the on-site Commonwealth Bank. Ambi Dollars are the ONLY accepted currency on the day.
You will need your Ambi Dollars to purchase food, wine, other beverages and raffle tickets. The Commonwealth Bank remains open until 5:30pm on the day to exchange unused Ambi Dollars or you can donate them directly to our Charity partner at the gate on exit.
Things to bring

Ambiwerra is an all weather event, so be prepared. -
Picnic rug, sunscreen, hat, umbrella. -
No BYO food or alcohol.
The festival organiser recommends responsible drinking! Please do not drink and drive. A taxi rank is available plus free shuttle buses connecting Corinda train station to and from the festival.

Parking
There is limited on-site parking. (approximately 1000) All day parking is $10.00 with proceeds going to our charity partner.

Taxis will be available at the main entrance to the venue in Erinvale Street.
Train link
A free shuttle bus connecting Corinda train station to and from the festival will also operate.
Pass outs
Pass outs are available at the gate.
First aid
St Johns Ambulance will be in attendance.
Security
While you are entering, attending or leaving the festival you will be required to follow commands from Festival Organisers and Security. This is to keep the festival safe. If you need help or see anyone in need please notify Security immediately.
Under extreme and unlikely circumstances the entire site may need to be evacuated. You will be asked to follow instructions and directions from Police, Fire Brigade or Security.
Disabled facilities
Ambiwerra is an outdoor event. Access is available to most areas, however the Festival is held on playing fields that has some sloped areas. There are disabled toilets with access ramps.
Seating
Some seating is available. You are encouraged to bring folding chairs and picnic rugs.

Surf Life Saving Queensland (SLSQ) is Queensland’s peak beach safety and rescue authority, and is one of the largest volunteer based community service organisations in Australia.
Established in 1909, Surf Life Saving Queensland is a not-for-profit organisation committed to ensuring a safer beach environment for the 30 million people who visit Queensland beaches each year.
Queensland’s mainland coastline stretches 6,089 kilometres and there are some 714 accessible beaches along the coast.
More than 25,000 members dedicate over 600,000 hours each year to patrolling these beaches.
Surf Life Saving Queensland has 59 Surf Life Saving Clubs, 6 Branches, and a State Body dedicated to aquatic safety. Our Clubs are as far reaching as Port Douglas in the north to Rainbow Bay in the south. Surf Life Saving Queensland also includes 40 Supporters Clubs with more than 200,000 members.

Almost 100,000 lives have been saved by surf lifesavers
since recording began in 1930, and millions more given
peace of mind about their safety in the surf and on the
beach.
To patrol more than 80 beaches, to educate the community on aquatic safety, to purchase rescue and resuscitation equipment, and to insure and support over 25,000 volunteer members, costs millions of dollars each year.
Surf Life Saving relies heavily on the support of the public to fund voluntary beach patrols across Australia. The funding for Surf Life Saving comes from public donation and support, corporate sponsorship and government funding.
85% of Surf Life Saving Queensland’s operating costs are funded by the community each year.
